Morning Sound Farm

Today we went on our first school bus field trip. The excitement was too much for everyone. Once we boarded to bus we talked about the safety rule for the bus.

There were two rules to remember:
*Stay sitting in your seats.
*Hands and hats stay inside and away from the windows.
All the children followed the rules the whole bus ride.

Once we arrived at the farm, Mrs. Farmer came to greet us and tell us about our morning.  Then she introduced us to Mr. Farmer.

We started our day learning about the pigs and sheep.

This is how Mr. Farmer sheared the sheep. We even got to take some wool home, look in our pockets and you're sure to find it.

Next we learned about the goats and how to milk them.

Mr. Farmer let us try milking the goat too!!

Our next adventure was to the chickens and roosters. Mrs. Farmer gave us some chicken feed and we all got to feed them.

Our next learning experience was about cows. Mooooo! We learned how to make a cow listen.

Put them in a cow train so they can't run away!! We pretended to be cows and walked through.

Then came one of the best parts of the day....free exploring in the barn! There were baby goats, bunnies, chicks, calls and a really big horse.

Here is Mrs. Farmer talking to us about how they feed the calfs. Then we got to try!

The baby goats were so cute Mrs. Thwaites tried to take one home.....but the farmers said no 🙁

So she tried to see if they would let the kids take it home, but that didn't work either.

So many animals for us to play with!

After lunch we went on a hay ride.

While we were out on our hay ride we met some cows.

We even went on some ponies too!

What an amazing trip to Morning Sound Farm!

Some of us were pretty tried after our field trip that we fell asleep on the bus ride home.

Hope you enjoyed this peek into our wonderful field trip.

In case anyone is interested Morning Sound Farm is open to the public Canada day and only Saturday's in July, 10 am - 4 pm.  Directions can be found online.
