Just A Little Rain

It was raining 🌧 when we started our day outside today! Some of our friends were a bit unsure at first, but it only took a few moments for everyone to jump right in ☔️.

We start our day outside every day. The only exceptions are: Extreme weather conditions (lightning storms, tornado warnings, wind chill colder than minus 25), to give our play areas a rest (if the area is looking trampled), or if we have important jobs to do inside.

Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately to ensure maximum comfort and maximum fun! Your child should be dressed in: rubber boots, splash pants, a sweater and rain jacket, warm mitts and a warm hat. Also, please have a full change of clothes for indoors (pants, shirt, socks and underwear). Thank-you!

A Frosty Morning

When we first walked outside this morning we noticed that the glass on the deck looked different. The teachers told us that the windows are covered in frost.

Miss. Cottrell showed us that we could draw in the frost.

We were all sure excited about trying it ourselves.

One of the children noticed that we could not see through the frost, until some one rubbed off all the frost.

Our curiosity with the frost just kept growing with every drawing we made.

One of the children looked down at their mitt and was surprised to see snow!

While we were on the deck we found some really cool wooden balance boards.

We also cleaned some of the leaves off the deck.

While we cleaned the leaves we found a new friend.
We named him "Mr. skinny legs".

Once we were done on the deck, we went to play in the play garden.

We found more frost, that made us pretty excited. We started rubbing off all the frost.

We also found some berries!

And some rocks to jump around on.

We had a blast playing this frosty morning.

When we come inside we helped each other get off our outdoor clothes.
