Ladybug Park

Today we went on our first park trip. Everyone was so excited to get in line and walk with a partner to the park. Since it was our first trip we decided to pick a close park so that the children could get used to the idea of walking in a big group on the city sidewalks. Every one did an amazing job listening and walking.

When we first arrived at the park the teacher went to do a safety check of the playground. While we waited a few children started noticing different nature items on the ground. They bent down and explored them.

When eveything was safe the children went right to playing.

The children loved spinning on the 'spinner' they worked together, taking turns so that each of them had a turn ridding and spinning.

The best part was seeing the smiles and laughter when they tried to get down, they were so dizzy!

The children started creating a race game with the ladybug and bumblebee. It was like horse racing, each time Mrs. Thwaites started the "race music" the children rode the bugs faster and faster always ending in a tie! So excited that everyone won!

Working our muscles while climbing!

Practicing our jumping.
"Ready, set, jump!"

Enjoying our snack!

What a fantastic trip to the park!
